Kansas City Chiefs GM John Dorsey and head coach Andy Reid are wasting no time remaking the roster.

NFL Free Agency was just minuted old when KC starting making deals.

Here is a breakdown of what we know so far:

1. TE Anthony Fasano is a Chief

The first move the Chiefs made was to agree to terms with former Miami Dolphins TE Anthony Fasano.

2. QB Alex Smith is a Chief

The 49ers announced via Twitter that they have indeed traded Smith to KC. The 49ers confirmed the deal is for two draft picks but they did not get specific about the 2014 conditional pick.

3. DE Mike DeVito is on his way to KC

Former Jets DE Mike DeVito is on his way to KC. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports expects the Chiefs will sign him.

4. Glenn Dorsey is heading to San Francisco…for a visit

The Chiefs, as of now, have failed to re-sign Glenn Dorsey. With DeVito on his way to KC, Dorsey could be finished with the Chiefs.

5. QB Chase Daniel is a Chief

Former New orleans Saints backup QB has agreed to a deal with the Chiefs. Some reports indicate the deal could be worth as much as $3 million per year. It is reportedly a three-year agreement. That would pretty much solidify Daniel as Smith’s backup.

That is what we know so far, Addicts. We are still watching the CB market which has yet to move. Stay tuned.

3 million a yr for chase daniels!!! Cmer son! I know you just turned 3 but ima teach you how to play QB. Yur gona make us rich 1 day!!!

    • KCMikeG

So I’m struggling with are you serious or is this some well crafted sarcasm? I know you were hoping for Geno like I was. That one is definitely not an option now.

      • njjohn

Sarcasm….I’d love Geno Smith, at the bottom of the first or top of the second round.

    • njjohn

Now they should draft Geno Smith with the number one pick too, right? Ya think they’ll let the Chiefs use their two third rounders on him as well?

      • micah stephenson

Everyone with any kind of football sense knows the chiefs shud take Geno # 1. Using 2 3rd rd picks on him too? You sound silly! Work on yo sarcasm some.

  • Ben

I still want the chiefs to sign a big RB.

  • redchiefs

Andy Reid wants a pure West Coast offense. Alex Smith is accurate (so was Joe Montana eh? ) Jerry Rice was big, fast and broke tackles for YACs I’m thinking D Bowe fits that mold( we need a Fred Taylor / Greg Jennings? Can Jon Baldwin be that compliment #2 ) I know Jerry Rice was the better receiver, but Fred Taylor wasn’t but half a notch behind Mr Rice, it was like having two #1 receivers on that team.

Roger Craig was fast, agile, could run up the middle and catch passes out of the backfield ( I personally think Jamaal Charles is better than Roger Craig) we need a Tom Rathman back. Moeaki / Fasano combo should be every bit as good as Dallas Clark because the scheme is designed to get that TE open up the middle on the seam.

We need an offensive line that is a stone wall dont we? (and doesnt false start)

I remember wanting the Chiefs to run west coast from the day that Tony G was drafted. Thanks Clark Hunt for bringing us a West Coast Offense.

All of the redchiefs around here drink the koolaid! GO CHIEFS!!

    • Trent Taylor

How bout John Taylor. Fred was a running back. Dwight.Clark. was a 9er. Dallas a Colt.

      • redchiefs

I stand corrected, thanks, I am just excited

        • Trent Taylor

It’s cool.man! I am as well! I knew what ya meant.

        • KCMikeG

It’s all good. I knew who you meant. Lots to be excited about today!

  • chiefs727

we need to cut cassel already so we can save cap space and sign sean smith

    • Jim Harper

Don’t worry. They will cut Cassel. They may have some interest in a trade. Better to get something for him than nothing. But they won’t let that go for very long.

      • chiefs727

ill be surprised if anyone will trade for him this might be interesting

    Keep it going chiefs

  • http://www.facebook.com/jwinsch1 Jim Winsch

they ought to bring in the cornerback from philly they released asomough, something like that. talib, harrison.at least bring them in to check out.

  • http://www.facebook.com/jwinsch1 Jim Winsch

chase daniels,i don’t know about that??? hopefully they pick up a qb in draft,i like tyler bray from tenn.

  • njjohn

Well, it’s an upgrade at starting QB, upgrade at back-up QB and upgrade at the second TE spot, so not a bad start.

  • njjohn

I understand the Mike DeVito deal is done.

  • Bosco Cletus

The thing that pops out to me about the Fasano and Devito signings is their availability, in the past five seasons, each player missed 5 games a piece (not too shabby) and WHEN they played they were productive vs. saaay Moeaki and Dorsey. Herm Edwards made some great draft choices during his time in KC, lets hope his biggest bust (Dorsey) signs elsewhere. I’m still curious to see if Moeaki can pull it together.

  • berttheclock

Welcome aboard, Mr Fasano. However, the QB who threw at least 3 TDs to you at ND will not be with the Chiefs any longer. Mr Quinn will be moving on.

  • berttheclock

Young Mr Daniels has the accuracy and footwork to fit the West Coast offense of Andy Reid. Open competition, possibly?

    • Erik Hild

Not with what we gave up for Alex Smith. Chase Daniels is an insurance policy

  • chiefs727

i think the chiefs should go after micheal turner because the way i look at it is we all know that when it comes to running the ball j. charles is gonna carry the load but we need a pretty big up the middle guy that still has some years left in him im sorry but peyton hillis just didnt produce like we all thought he would

    • Chief Hokie

Cyrus the virus would make a great #2. Look at his tape he’s legit. I’m over the thunder and lightning approach, it’s too predictable what we’re gonna do when we put in the bruiser. I’d rather have two speedy backs that can bust it to the outside on any given run.

  • sidibeke

I notice the one position KC is not looking at is o line. Looks like Luke is our guy.

  • Erik Hild

I think the chiefs should target Aquib Talib or DRC next
