The Kansas City Chiefs may not select QB Geno Smith with the No.1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft but they are certainly going to do their homework on him.

Smith sat down with the NFL Network crew following some of his workouts and answered a number of questions, including which teams he had met with over the weekend.

Smith said he met with 11 teams and then named six of them.

They were:

"Ravens, Bengals, Steelers, Chiefs, Bills, Arizona"

There are some interesting teams in there. The Ravens, Bengals and Steelers are all set at QB, yet they still talked with Smith. The Chiefs, Bills and Cardinals clearly have needs at the position.

If I had to guess at the rest of the teams that Smith met with, I’d go with Cleveland, Oakland, Jacksonville, Tennessee, New York Jets. But that is just a guess. I mean, if the Steelers and Ravens are talking to Smith, then the QB literally could have talked to any team in the NFL.

Smith is drawing pretty solid reviews from his day at the Combine, however while talking with NFL Network, Smith was humble about his performance.

“I felt like there’s room for improvement,” Smith said. “I started off slow but I feel like I made some good strides today. Was able to exhibit some of my athleticism with the broad jump and the 40 so I feel like overall I did a pretty good job.”

It will be interesting to see if Smith’s stock rises after this weekend. Stay tuned.
