Kansas City area dog owners can breathe a sign of relief today.

Michael Vick has re-signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Since Andy Reid has come to town there have been questions as to whether or not he would want to bring Vick to KC. After all, the Eagles have a new head coach in Chip Kelly and there was no guarantee that Kelly would want anything to do with the old regimes QB.

But ESPN’s Adam Schefter says Vick is staying put, at least for now.

$10 million is some serious coin. That isn’t backup money. The Eagles still may be interested in drafting or trading for a young QB but you can bet at that salary, Vick will get every opportunity to run the Kelly’s offense.

Vick has played poorly the last couple of years since making his triumphant return under Andy Reid. It will be interesting to see if he can revive his career one more time under Kelly.

Vick pretty much killed my fantasy season in 2011, but that is what I get for buying him while his stock was up.

What do you think, Addicts? Are you glad Vick won’t be coming to KC?
