Andy Reid Talks Chiefs

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has been making the media rounds this week and yesterday he appeared on Pro Football Talk Live with Mike Florio.

Reid reiterates most of the points he has already made as far as his draft philosophy. Reid seems to be a best player available kind of drafter. That said, the new head coach is known for saying next to nothing in his interviews and press conferences so we may not have a really clear idea of what he is thinking until he actually starts making picks.

Anyway, it is a decent interview and certainly worth checking out. Props as always to PFT for sharing their content.

Y wouldn’t drafting at the most glaring hole on the team be the number one priority

Cuz why reach for a QB who obviously is a mid 1st round at best. when you can take the best player available and I think it might be a OL or LB

Because we don’t have a mid first round pick. He won’t last till the mid first round. And he is the best signal caller available

Please no Micheal Vick, that’s all I ask

Wouldn’t Childress be a better option at OC than a former QB coach in Philly?

To everyone that keeps saying Geno Smith is a mid-first rounder at best… have you ever watched him play? Or looked at his stats? Or compared him to all the Elite QBs in the NFL while they were in college?
