John Dorsey Interviewing For Chiefs GM Job Today

Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, Packers personnel man John Dorsey is interviewing with the Kansas City Chiefs today for their open GM job.

From La Canfora via Twitter:

Been considered the likely choice since Andy Reid got there
— Jason La Canfora (@JasonLaCanfora) January 8, 2013

There had been some reports that this interview took pace on Monday. La Canfora is a pretty reliable source so if he says it is today I’d believe it. It is also possible that there have been multiple interviews.

Dorsey has been linked to the Chiefs GM job since before Andy Reid was even officially announced as the head coach. There have been other names linked, including former Brown GM Tom Heckert but at this point Dorsey appears to be the favorite.

Latest Twitter rumor is that Dorsey is a done deal and will be announced soon, now this isn’t exactly coming from Jay Glazer or anything, just Twitter “buzz” so take it for what it’s worth. Other rumors on Twitter include Childress being a done deal for OC and that Gary Gibbs and Emmitt Thomas were the only coaches retained from Romeo’s staff. Sources include SaveOurChiefs, Warpaint Illustated, and Ryan Scott Hall so depending on what you think of their reliablity to break this stuff, take it for what you will. That concludes tonight’s Twitter round up. Good night!
