The Baltimore Ravens have swiped a player from the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tackle David Mims, who spent time on the Chiefs’ active roster and on the practice squad, was signed to a futures contract yesterday by the Baltimore Ravens.

The Report comes from Aaron Wilson:

The Ravens signed five players to reserve-future deals, including former Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle David Mims.Mims was on the active roster for Kansas City for five games as a rookie last season.

The 6-foot-8, 335-pounder played collegiately at Virginia Union.

Mims was a Pioli project. With Andy Reid likely to be named the next head coach of the Chiefs, players hand-picked by Pioli could be in danger, especially those that spend time at the bottom of the roster. Reid is a former offensive lineman and will likely be looking to bring his own brand of blocker up front.
