The Kansas City Chiefs wasted a huge day by RB Jamaal Charles by losing to the Indianapolis Colts 20-13.

The Chiefs ran all over the Colts but pathetic play at the QB position, combined with mind-bogglingly stupid play-calling down the stretch by offensive coordinator Brian Daboll doomed the home team.

There are many reasons the Chiefs lost today. A Brady Quinn pick six and stupid penalties chief among them. But the reason the Chiefs are in the boat they are in now and have been all season, is because of poor coaching.

This play, late in the game, sums up what is wrong with the Chiefs.

Facing a 3rd and long, with just under three minutes to go, Daboll called a draw.

With Peyton Hillis.

Jamaal Charles finished the day with the day with 226 yards on the ground. Hillis added another 101.

But the Chiefs couldn’t find the endzone enough to put the game away.

And now the Chiefs have all but clinched the #1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft.
