Recap: This defeat stands out in a lost season as the Chiefs were shut out by a defense that has been terrible all season. They fell to 2-12 and they are in control of getting the No. 1 pick in the draft. Kansas City is 0-10 against AFC competition and it’s this type of uncompetitive performance that very well will force Kansas City ownership into making wholesale changes.
Biggest area to fix: Offense. The Chiefs had 119 yards of offense and didn’t get a first down on the ground. It was just a pathetic performance.
“The time in the Sports Lab is an interactive health and fitness adventure for the kids,” Mallory Lutz, Sports Lab Coordinator noted. “There are games having to do with every part of your body dealing with fitness, mental games and the nervous system, just to name a few.”
The lab is open every day of the week and normally has two schools visit a day, with groups ranging from 40-150 students. So far in 2012, there have been almost 18,000 eager students who have been through the Sports Lab experience.
“The goal of the Sports Lab is to teach the kids about health and fitness in a way that they will understand it and use the tools they learn here and apply them to their life,” Tyler Banks, Sports Lab Tour Guide explained.
Police found a bullet hole in the bathroom floor under Perkins’ body that went through to the basement, possibly indicating she was on the floor when Belcher fired that round. Shepherd said she heard a “thump” before the gunshots. Police found eight spent shell casings and three bullet fragments in the bathroom and one spent bullet in the basement. Police observed 10 apparent gunshot wounds on the front of Perkins body, including to her neck, shoulder and chest, and five wounds on her backside. The medical examiner said four bullets remained in her body.
Belcher had numerous tattoos, including the words “Reckless” and “Abandon” on his torso, “Failure is not an option” on his chest and “Loyalty” on his bicep.
