Bowe Ruled Out Vs. Raiders

The Kansas City Chiefs have already ruled out WR Dwayne Bowe for this Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders.

The news comes via Kansas City Star reporter Adam Teicher.

Bowe suffered a rib injury yesterday after taking a knee to the back/side while blocking for a running play.

Without Bowe in the lineup, the Chiefs may consider activating veteran WR Steve Breaston this week. Breaston has been a huge disappointment this season, catching only seven balls in nine games of action. Still, the rest of the KC receivers are extremely inexperience and QB Brady Quinn could use a veteran when he goes up against Oakland’s vulnerable pass defense.

Bowe’s injury could be serious and the team said yesterday that they were worried he had some broken ribs. If that is the case, Bowe’s season, and his time in Kansas City, could be over.

Well, at least we don’t have to worry about him dropping any balls next week..Bowe’s time in KC is up, he has the tools, but not the consistency or mindset of an elite number one receiver.
