The Kansas City Chiefs played their best game of the season just 24 hours after what was probably the worst day in franchise history.

Brady Quinn had perhaps the most efficient game of his career and the Chiefs played near mistake-free football en-route to their second win of the 2012 season, defeating the Carolina Panthers 27-21.

Just a day after Chiefs starting MLB Jovan Belcher murdered his girlfriend and then committed suicide in front of head coach Romeo Crennel, GM Scott Pioli and defensive coordinator Gary Gibbs, the players and coaches managed to stick together to play some good football.

It was a surreal scene at Arrowhead. A 1-10 meant a sparse crowd and the overall mood of those in the stadium made for perhaps one of the quietest days in the history of Arrowhead Stadium.

We will break down the individual efforts later. For now, it is time to celebrate a very somber team win.
