Kansas City Chiefs At The Bye Week

John Rieger-US PRESSWIRE

The Kansas City Chiefs are mercifully at their bye week. That means no Chiefs football this weekend which means you will actually be able to enjoy your first stress-free weekend since early September.

There have been a lot of miserable storylines to go around so far this season. I thought, since we are left to wallow in our misery this weekend, it would be fun to see what Chiefs Nation thought the number one story of the season is so far.

Here are the candidates:

1. The 1-5 start.

High expectations lead to the lowest of lows.

2. Eric Berry and Tony Moeaki disappoint

The Chiefs were really looking forward to getting these two back. Unfortunately, they haven’t delivered. Will they ever be the same again?

3. Matt Cassel, Eric Winston and the booing fans

This was a big one.

4. Jamaal is back!

Finally, a positive storyline. Jamaal Charles looks like the Jamaal Charles we all remembered.

5. Pioli on the hot seat

GM Scott Pioli’s seat is getting very hot. There is speculation he could be fired before the end of the season.

6. The banner

Ahh, the banner. The “Save Our Chiefs” movement is taking off. Angry fans have taken to the air to be sure their voices are heard.

7. Comeback win over the Saints

The only win of the season so far was a thriller.

8. Justin Houston rocks

Houston appears to be on his way to the Pro Bowl. Can he keep it up after the bye week?

All right, Addicts. Those are my top storylines so far.

What are yours?

    Turn overs.

our team reads like a damn soap opera. lol

The change of tone from so many of the “it takes time”, “in Pioli we trust” and the like folks. Something hit them between the eyes and they see all is not rainbows and sunshine with the Chiefs. They are still strong fans but see the cracks in the organization.

The number one headline will be they stop the turn overs and start playing ball winning 10 straight and win the super bowl starting a winning streak that lasts through next season when they go undefeated winning another super bowl and Matt Cassel wins two mvp’s in a row shutting us all up. This dynasty continues another year when they finish 14-2 after resting starters the final two weeks and become the first team to ever win three straight championships making Gonzo wish he had stayed and making Manning wonder why he picked the donkeys. Something to look forward to through the bye week.

You have one helluva imagination! Lol! I like it though. I would much rather have your story come true than root for them to lose so we can get good pick.

GREAT POST! Got to LOVE how you think! Anything is possible and I believe it is up to the players to make the difference right now. They need our support.

Stop the turnovers, move the ball hard and pick up the pace. Start the lead and get a better chance at the win. Get rid of Pioli for a better HC, put Crennel at DC, and get a new muh better GM. Maybe even the Ross guy ppl talk about
