Chiefs vs. Chargers: Picking The Game

Denny Medley-US PRESSWIRE

The Kansas City Chiefs were a trendy pick to win the AFC West before the season started, however following two blowout losses, the national opinion of them lowered significantly.

Was a comeback win against the New Orleans Saints enough to restore confidence?

Here is a roundup of which experts are picking the Chiefs.

ESPN:

Only three of ESPN’s 12 experts picked the Chiefs. Props to Jaws, Ditka and Carter. Always liked those guys.

Accuscore:

Accuscore picked the Chargers to win in 56% of its simulations. It does say the game will be close, with an average score of Chargers 25, Chiefs 23.

Madden NFL 13:

The Madden sim likes the Chiefs in this one. KC won with a score of 24 to 17. The difference in this one was two Philip Rivers interceptions. Cassel threw for two TDs and JC rushed for 76 yards.

Yahoo! Sports:

Two of the three experts picked KC. Mike Silver and the readers picked the Chargers.

FanSided.com:

The esteemed experts from Fansided.com went two against one for the Chiefs. Josh Sanchez and myself have the Chiefs, Josh Hill picked the Dolts.

Who are you picking?

Well this all depends on which Chiefs defense shows up, the one in the first half of the Saints game or the one in the second half. If it’s the one in the first half it’s going to be along day for the Chiefs Nation. Second half D and it could turn into a Chiefs blowout of the Chargers.

Our offense has been fairly consistently good, except when it comes to scoring TDs. They need to do a much better job of punching the ball into the endzone. Hopefully that will come in time as everyone learns Daboll’s system and Daboll learns how to use these guys in the most effective way.

A lot of variables though, number 1 of which is how Lilja and Allen will do against a good Charger front 7.

Chiefs 27-Bolts 10. I believe our secondary will do well against the San Diego receivers. Also, with our front 7, (Hali and Houston especially), and the problems with the Chargers o line, Rivers will be running for his life.

Really? You are writing for Chiefs blog and you are asking Chiefs fans who they are going to pick in this one? LOL!! Thanks, I needed a good laugh on Friday!!! GO CHIEFS!!!!!!! I made a friendly $20 bet with one of my co-workers, who is a San Diego Charger fan of course since I live here in Sunny San Diego! And for last year and again this year we have a standing bet on who’s team will have a better record at the end of the year! Last year I paid him and this year, he WILL pay ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and I predict at least one INT by Rivers, one fumble by Mathews and four sacks by Houston, Hali and Berry!!!!!!!!

I know this is off topic but does anyone know of any way I could get a JC autograph if I’m going to KC Sunday morning and leaving Sunday night?
