Romeo Crennel Post-Game Quotes

Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel took the podium following the team’s second embarrassing loss in a row, this time to the Buffalo Bills.

The Chiefs don’t allow Crennel to talk very long. Basically after about four questions or so the PR guy calls out “couple more, guys” so the media never really gets to ask many questions.

I jotted down a few quotes from Crennel. Don’t expect anything earth-shattering here.

“Another disappointing loss today. We didn’t play well enough in any phase of the game. Didn’t coach well enough.”

I think we can all agree with Crennel here.

“We have to try to figure out, this team, what this team is about.”

“I’m gonna say that I thought we would be better. I really thought that we would be better but we’re not so we’ve got to figure out why that is.”

We thought you’d be better too, Coach.

“If we do what we’re supposed to do then we would be better.”

Sigh.

I’m not sure what we expect Crennel to say. His team got their butts whipped for the second straight week. It’d be nice to hear Crennel talk about how unacceptable these kinds of performances are but those are just words and words don’t win football games.
