Flowers Will Be Limited In Practice

The Kansas City Chiefs will begin their preparation for the Buffalo Bills today but they will do so with star CB Brandon Flowers being limited in practice.

By now, you know the story. Flowers hurt his foot at the end of July and hasn’t practiced fully since. He missed the entire preseason but there was some hope when he was a limited participant in practice all last week leading up the the team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. I figured the Chiefs were just being cautious with Flowers, however it appears things may be worse than we thought.

The Chiefs ended up getting embarrassed on defense by the Falcons. Flowers’ absence, along with the loss of OLB Tamba Hali to a one-game suspension, proved to be too much for KC to handle.

The fact that Flowers, given a few more days to rest, is still going to be limited in practice does not bode well for this weekend. Hali’s turn will help but if Flowers doesn’t play, will Tamba be able to get to the QB fast enough to help the porous KC secondary?

Wasn’t Flowers’ injury a bruised heel (some part of the foot at least)? If his bruise is taking this long to heal, shouldn’t there be more info about it? I don’t ever remember having bruises linger as long as his apparently has… and I once had two giant bruises on my both of my thighs from a car crash! Not blaming Flowers or anything, just frustrated and curious as to whether it’s really JUST a bruised foot.

I think they said bruised heel ….must be worse….we likely will never know.
      GO CHIEFS!!!

I’m betting we won’t see Flowers until the Chargers on sept. 30th… oh well, just have to hope the Chiefs play their best to win without him! It is a team that wins games after all, not single players!

Carr we miss you! If Flowers is out our chances to win go down drastically IMO!

Stop it with the Carr crap. He is gone. Get over it! He’s not coming back. Besides which he was not the 2nd coming of Revis! He got beat a helluva lot more than Flowers. I am sick of the constant whinning!

Sorry Jimmy, I’m intitled to my opinion just like you are bud! Carr was a huge loss and the reason I keep saying it is because we have the cap to have kept him, and yet… we didn’t! Waaaa Waaaaa!!!

Having Carr would not repair Flower’s foot.. Carr’s not worth 10 million a year!! He chose to leave!

I hate this secrecy sh!t. Same thing with Baldwin’s “hand injury” last season.

Still have a chance to beat Buf without Flowers, but week 3…Here’s hoping he’s back in this Sun and Lewis is back for NO.

This sucks. Only name I’ve heard of floating around as a free agent right now is Byrant McFadden.

    • DT58bestLBever

Bryant McFadden, Lito Sheppard, Philip Buchanon, Roderick Hood, and Leigh Torrence are the only ones I see that I think would be an upgrade to Reeves… Some would be an upgrade over Jalil Brown.

I’m not sure the sight is completely up to date though? The site is: http://www.footballsfuture.com/2012/fa/track.html

a bruised hell can be very painful and prevent the ability to cut hard or plant the bruised foot.
