Not really any changes here. The only significant move is Dwayne Bowe moving up from, I think it was 7th, on the depth chart. He is still behind WR Terrance Copper, Jonathan Baldwin, Steve Breaston and Dexter McCluster. Considering he only had a few days of practice, that is fine by me. Bowe is going to get his touches so there is no reason to make the receivers that have been there working all offseason angry.

What do you think, Addicts? Looks like the roster is starting to take shape.

I would like to see Wylie as our returner on both kickoffs and punts. Let Arenas focus on defense. I wonder how Crennel will work our D against Atlanta with Hali not there? I think Sheffield is a much better pass rusher than Studebaker. Maybe alternate them depending on the situation?

  • Jim Harper

I did not see Bannon’s name anywhere. Has he already been cut? If not I am sure he will be.

Yeah he was one of the 14 players they cut already

Before guys start picking and choosing one guy or another, there is another cut, the final one, coming. ie Cyrus Gray, draft pick and has not stepped on the field during a game – does he make the roster to save Pioli’s ego? PS to heal until next year?
Relax and enjoy the ride, this may be the best days of this season with all that hope and promise, especially if Daboll has to make Cassel pass to win game and if the defense cannot do a better job preventing scoring.

Gray played against Arizona and looked pretty damn good (even got a TD and put up the best stats of any AFC RB that week). It’s the past couple games he was hurting.

Breston isn’t in the WR list?? They should keep Lilja as a backup and start Allen or move Mims over to start and Lilja to backup Winston. Fullback is not going to be utilized this year, there is no need with 3 tight ends that are so much bigger + having Hillis. Flowers is the starter but hasn’t been on the field, they need a veteran to step in at LCB and need to get a Veteran FS to fill Kendricks spot till he gets back. Hope they give Tanney a shot in last preseason game, he might surprise them.

Im at an impass with Studebaker, Yeah he is a hell of a special teams guy, but should he be part of the 2 deep at LB, same goes with Copper, I would like to see Wylie make the squad. I think he could bring a Dante Hall type to the return game, I know we havent seen him much in the return game thus far. Arenas had chances to show what hes go and it seems to me that he is very fast but usually goes down on the first hit. He needs to focus on D.
Lets talk about Stanzi! Where is this guy, the guy you saw at Iowa. My gut feeling is that we drop him and bring in another Veteran guy who can back up the back up better than Stanzi. Stanzi just looks lost out there. He has an arm but not very good at using his check downs and reading Ds yet.
10-6 for this sqaud this year. Barley winning the division. Win one playoff game and call it a season.
