According to Bob Fescoe of 610 Sports, Kansas City Chiefs fans need not worry about the status of CB Brandon Flowers.
Flowers has a bruised foot. Not expected to miss much time
— Bob Fescoe (@bobfescoe) August 2, 2012
Flowers was injured during practice on Tuesday night. He left the field with a limp and the pain seemed to be coming from his lower leg.
The Chiefs will likely allow Flowers all the time he needs to rest up. He has been playing in the defense now for a couple of years and while everyone needs practice reps, Flowers will likely be ok even if he misses a few days of practice.
Since we are talking of injuries, is anyone else finding themselves in a constant state of dread about key Chiefs getting injured? I’ve always been aware that injuries happen but I think last year really messed with my head. I am so excited about the team this year that I am terrified of seeing Charles or Berry or Flowers or someone going down in the second preseason game with a season-ending injury.
Anybody know any spells or anything we can use to protect the key players? I’d be happy to offer up my Sabby Piscitelli voodoo doll to appease the injury Gods.
