Adam Schefter Thinks Dawyne Bowe Will Come To Camp Late

ESPN insider Adam Schefter has a very grim prediction for Chiefs fans.

He doesn’t think Dwayne Bowe will report to camp with his teammates this week.

Schefter said in an interview with Josh Vernier of 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City that he thinks Bowe is going to continue holding out well into training camp.

Keep in mind that this isn’t a report from Schefter. It is an assumption which is very different.

But it is also a very specific assumption which is obviously going to stir the pot.

Bowe told Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride that he would be in camp on time this year. While he could possibly have changed his mind, words from Bowe himself still carry more weight in my mind than guesses from Adam Schefter.

The fact of the matter is that it does Bowe absolutely no good not to show up to camp on time. He is playing the 2012 season under the franchise tag no matter what. All sitting out at camp would do is stick it to the Chiefs and hurt Bowe’s performance on the field. Considering he is looking for a big deal, it wouldn’t make sense for Bowe to sabotage himself just to prove a point to the Chiefs.

I think this is just Schefter providing a bad guess.

Regardless, we’ll find out on Friday when the Chiefs hit the practice field.

What do you think ,Addicts? Is Schefter full of it or does he know something we don’t? If he doesn’t know something, why isn’t he reporting it officially?
