“We’re going to win with whoever we have,” Crennel said. “If he’s with us, we’d like that to happen. If he’s not, then we’re going to work with the guys we’ve got here.”

Coach Romeo Crennel wasn’t asked about the backup-quarterback battle during a post-practice media availability on Friday. But it’s no secret that the Chiefs like Stanzi. A fifth-round pick in 2011, Stanzi played at Iowa for Kirk Ferentz, who has a strong relationship with Chiefs G.M. Scott Pioli.

“He had a migraine [Thursday] and he’s going to see the doctor today,” Crennel said. “So we’ll just have to wait and see.”

According to the St. Joe Channel, members of the Cardinals staff have visited Missouri Western State University, located in St. Joseph Missouri, where the Chiefs hold training camp. They are in discussion with the Chiefs and Missouri Western to hold joint workout sessions with the team during that time period.
