Did the Chiefs draft any Pro Bowlers in 2012?
I’m not talking about future Pro Bowlers. I’m talking about rookie Pro Bowlers.
Making the Pro Bowl is a tough task even for veterans so doing it as a rookie is, as you can imagine, very tough. Yet KC’s own Eric Berry managed to sneak a roster spot in Hawaii during his rookie season. That is part of the reason why expectations are so high for Berry in 2012.
Last season, however, KC’s rookies did not make much of an impact. First-round pick Jonathan Baldwin missed the first half of the season. Second-rounder Rodney Hudson sat the bench all year behind veteran Casey Wiegmann. It was third-round picks Allen Bailey and Justin Houston that got the most playing time yet neither had anything close to a Pro Bowl season.
But what about this year’s draft class? The deeper this Chiefs team gets, the harder it is going to be for the new guys to see the field.
Do any of them have a shot at a rookie Pro Bowl?
