KC’s offense should be very Cassel friendly. It should featured a strong running game, excellent blocking and will feature a multitude of play-making receivers. In fact, KC’s running game should be so strong in 2012 that new offensive coordinator Brian Daboll might just consider having every single pass Cassel throws come out of play action.

Cassel has certainly had his failures during his tenure in Kansas City but he has shown he can play well so long as he has help. The schedule won’t be as easy as it was in 2010 but the Chiefs are a much better team than they were back then.

If Cassel is ever going to silence his doubters, 2012 will be the year.
