Chiefs Sign Donald Stephenson, Says Report

Matthew Emmons-US PRESSWIRE

According to Adam Caplan the Kansas City Chiefs have signed third-round draft pick OT Donald Stephenson.

The signing of Stephenson means that only first-round selection Dontari Poe has yet to sign. Given the new rookie wage scale, Poe should be inked soon. Teams in the top ten of the draft have already begun signing their picks.

Once Poe is officially on board, we’ll have to turn our attention to Dwayne Bowe and his contract situation. The Chiefs have offered Bowe the franchise tag. The deal would pay Bowe over $9 million this season. Wes Welker, another franchise tag recipient, signed his tag yesterday.

Hopefully that means Bowe will be close behind.
