Yeremiah Bell Will Visit The Chiefs

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, former Miami Dolphins safety Yeremiah Bell will visit the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday.

Chiefs GM Scott Pioli continues to dig through the scrap heap looking for bargains on veteran depth. Safety is one of the position groups the Chiefs really need help with. They checked out OJ Atowgwe a couple of weeks ago.

Bell is 34 and according to Pro Football Focus, he was the Dolphins’ second worst defender last season. He graded at a -12 on the season. He did ok in run support, receiving a +3.0 mark there. His coverage skills, however, were awful. He was responsible for 8 penalties and he missed a whopping 13 tackles, more than any other Dolphin defender. To be fair, he played 1126 snaps and also added 85 tackles.

The Chiefs sure need help at safety but I am not sure if Bell will be able to provide it.
