Chiefs Allow Two Rookies To Miss Mini-Camp To Graduate

According to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star, two new Chiefs, Jeff Allen and Tim Biere will each miss a day of the team’s rookie mini-camp, which begins Friday.

Both players have their graduation ceremonies during the camp and the Chiefs feel it is important that Allen and Biere are able to attend.

“They spent the time to get a degree and they’re going to get that opportunity to walk across the stage in front of their peers and their families and I think that’s important,” head coach Romeo Crennel told The Star.

Classy move by the Chiefs. These players worked hard to get their degrees and allowing them to attend their graduation will help show them that there is indeed a payoff to working hard.

And that is an attitude the Chiefs are hoping Allen and Brier will bring with them to the NFL.
