2013 NFL Mock Draft Has The Chiefs Taking…

Now that the 2012 NFL draft is in the books, 2013 Mock Madness has officially begun.

SI.com has released its first (I think) 2013 Mock Draft of 2012. That sounds weird to say.

Anyway, you’ll like a couple of things about this mock, I think. For starters, it has the Chiefs selecting 23rd which means they made the playoffs. Bonus! Next, it has the Raiders selecting 4th overall which means they really sucked the big one. Double bonus. The mock also has the Chargers selecting 13th (thanks Norv) and the Donkeys selecting 17th (sorry Manning).

Who are the Chiefs taking a year after making the playoffs?

A QB.

If he can return to his 2010 form, however, he has the size to get back in the good graces of NFL teams, who are always eager to take a chance on tall gunslingers.The Chiefs could also look at Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas, who often gets compared to Cam Newton as a potential breakout star."

I could live with that. I wish the Chiefs would have been able to get a franchise QB this year but hell, what’s one more year, right?

Then again, this is all just made up so…we could end up taking another nose tackle next year for all we know. After winning the Super Bowl THIS year!
