Chiefs Worked Out WR Keith Nichol

According to lansingstatejournal.com the Kansas City Chiefs have worked out former MSU WR Keith Nichol.

Ok, so here is the deal on this kid. He was a QB at Oklahoma but was stuck behind Sam Bradford so he switched to MSU where he was narrowly beat out by Kirk Cousins. He then switched to WR and was fairly effective although not a star. He’s got some ups and is 6-2, 213 lbs. He is not terribly fast, running a 4.75 40 at his pro day.

His camp is billing him a versatile player willing to do anything to make a team.

I don’t know. He isn’t really tall enough, bulky enough to play TE, not fast enough to be an NFL WR and not a good enough QB to win a starting job at two schools.

I guess a team might take a chance on him in the seventh round. His best bet is probably making a squad as a special teams player.
