NFL Draft 2012: Tracking The Chiefs’ Interests
Thanks to Pro Football Talk, we have a list of workouts and meetings the Chiefs have had with various prospects. It is important to mention that it is very unlikely that this list his exhaustive and though it does note if the player had a private workout or went to the team’s facility, it may not be totally accurate. For instance, not a single player on the list is marked as having gone to KC though it is highly like some of them have. PFT only puts the information that has been leaked out. So, this isn’t the gospel but we have to piece together what we can from the information that we have.
The Chiefs have looked at players from just about every position imaginable. Still, by looking at the entire list, we can try to see if the team might be targeting any one position more than the others. Again, since we almost certainly don’t know about every player the Chiefs have looked at, these numbers aren’t really a solid indication of anything. Still, let’s take a look.

What does it all mean?
Maybe nothing. Maybe something.
It is pretty clear, the Chiefs are targeting QB’s in this draft. That doesn’t mean they are going to take one but they are certainly doing their homework. They are also doing their homework on receivers and defensive tackles.
