Chiefs Check Out Wake Forest Pro Day

The Kansas City Chiefs reportedly had multiple representatives at Wake Forest Pro Day today.

Chances are they were there to check out one of three players.

WR Chris Givens, who had 1,330 yards receiving on 83 catches and nine touchdowns last season. He’s not particularly big and projects as a slot receiver in the NFL. The Chiefs have three receivers in Bowe, Baldwin and Breaston but after that the cupboard is pretty bare. Givens is projecting as a second-round pick and the Chiefs could like him as a depth move to bolster their offense.

Kyle Wilber is an linebacker prospect. He stands 6’5″ and 240 pounds and figures to be an OLB in a 3-4 defense. Wilber is projecting as a third- or fourth-round selection. The Chiefs do have Justin Houston but you can never have enough good pass rushers.

Lastly, the Chiefs could be interested in guard Joe Looney. Looney is 6’3″ and 320 pounds and is currently projected as a seventh-round pick by NFL Draft Scout. The Chiefs will be looking to bolster their interior line but they are in pretty good shape right now with Ryan Lilja and Jon Asamoah, but they are in desperate need of depth. Looney could be a nice late-round developmental pick.
