Eric Winston Will Visit Chiefs Tomorrow

Aaron Wilson is reporting that free agent RT Eric Winston will visit the Kansas City Chiefs tomorrow.

From Wilson, via Twitter:

Eric Winston told me he’ll visit Chiefs tomorrow, then Rams, then the Ravens. “It’s pretty straightforward, the visits,” he said.

This is a guy the Chiefs absolutely have to land. He is considered by many to be one of the best, if not the best, right tackle in the NFL. Winston would solve KC’s problem on the right side and be a huge asset in blocking for Jamaal Charles and Peyton Hillis.

If Matt Cassel is going to be the starter in 2012, the Chiefs will need their running game to be stronger than ever for him to be successful. Landing Winston and pairing him with Albert, Lilja, Hudson and Asamoah would go a long way toward that goal.

The Chiefs need to make sure Winston doesn’t leave Kansas City without a contract.
