Carlson is a 6’5″, 256 and was drafted by Seattle in the 2008 draft. He has 137 career receptions for 1,519 yards and 15 touchdowns. He missed last season after an injury in the preseason.

In 2010, however, Pro Football focus was not a fan of Carlson. He graded as the 57th best TE in the NFL. Out of 63. He got a -12.7 overall grade with a -5.9 grade in run blocking, playing over 800 snaps.

He has put up some numbers in the passing game and is still very young at 27, however he has been out of football for a year and when he was playing, wasn’t a very good blocker.

Way to make a splash Pioli.

Other teams reportedly interested in Carlson are the Bears, Bucs, Colts, Cowboys and Seahawks.
