Jarrad Page Tries Out For The Dodgers

According to the Los Angeles Times, former Kansas City Chiefs safety Jarad Page attended an open tryout for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

I never knew this but apparently Page was a pretty good baseball player coming out of UCLA. He was actually drafted multiple times, including the year the Chiefs picked him in the NFL Draft.

Page’s career has kind of fizzled since the Chiefs traded him to the Patriots for a late-round draft pick following the 2009 season. He had injury issues in New England and finished the season with only 12 tackles. He started only one game. In August of 2010 Page was signed by the Eagles and started at strong safety for five games before being benched and later released before Thanksgiving. Following a year out of football, the Vikings signed him last November.

Isn’t it funny to think that as recently as 2008, most Chiefs fans thought the team was set at safety for the next decade with Bernard Pollard and Page.

Now, just a few years later, we’re saying the same thing about Kendrick Lewis and Eric Berry.

Let’s hope we’re right this time.
