The Kansas City Chiefs have re-signed WR Zeke Markshausen, the team announced Wednesday.

We linked to the story in The Morning Fix, but I wanted to make sure we got a quick article out on it in case you missed it.

Markshausen was with the Chiefs last preseason and was cut before the start of the season. He was then re-signed to the practice squad on Nov. 30, but was released again just days later on Dec. 4.

Now he’s back.

Markshausen is a little guy at 5’11, 185 lbs. He was originally signed by the Bears in 2010 but he’s never managed to make a team. He didn’t show much in the preseason last year but then again, neither did anyone else. Thanks for that, Haley.

Anyway, Markshausen will get another shot this offseason. He is another one of the low-level names we’ll be hearing over the next few weeks as the team loads up on camp bodies.

I am hoping the team also brings back WR Verran Tucker who was a good special teams player in 2010 and who I thought showed nice potential. He dropped a couple balls in the preseason last year that may have doomed him.
