The Kansas City Chiefs have finalized their offensive coaching staff for the 2012 season.

The team has announced the hiring of five new coaches. They have also retained 10 others and have made one promotion.

Here are the new guys, a few of whom we already knew about:

Jack Bicknell Jr. (Offensive Line), Jim Bob Cooter (Offensive Quality Control), Brian Daboll (Offensive Coordinator), Tom McMahon (Special Teams Coach) and Derius Swinton (Special Teams Quality Control).

We told you yesterday about the hiring of Bickenell and we also already knew about McMahon and Daboll.

The Chiefs also announced that they have promoted Nick Sirani to WR coach.

The team kept:

Maurice Carthon (Assistant Head Coach), Mike Clark (Strength & Conditioning), Gary Gibbs (Linebackers), Bernie Parmalee (Tight Ends), Anthony Pleasant (Defensive Line), Brent Salazar (Assistant Strength & Conditioning), Otis Smith (Defensive Quality Control), Emmitt Thomas (Defensive Backs), Adam Zimmer (Defensive Assistant/Assistant Linebackers) and Jim Zorn (Quarterbacks).

We expected most of the defensive staff back, but it is also nice to see there will be some continuity on offense. I am particularly pleased that Jim Zorn has decided to return. He received rave reviews from Joe Flacco in Baltimore and having him for for the second straight season with Matt Cassel and Ricky Stanzi should only help.

So… Jim Bob Cooter…
