Chiefs’ Justin Houston Nominated For Rookie Of The Week

Kansas City Chiefs rookie Justin Houston has been coming on strong in recent weeks and now he has been nominated for the Rookie of the Week award.

Houston had a break-out game against the Chicago Bears and was a big part of the reason the Chiefs were able to get the win. Houston was second on the team in tackles with seven while adding three sacks, a forced fumble and a batted pass.

Houston has some stiff competition with potential Rookie of the Year candidate Cam Newton. Newton ran for three TDs and threw for another Sunday in Carolina’s victory over the Bucs.

Also up for the hardware are Colin McCarthy (Titans), Christian Ponder (Vikings) and T.J. Yates (Texans).
