Matt Cassel Out For The Year, Report Says

facebooktwitterreddit

According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel will miss the remainder of the season due to a hand injury suffered in last week’s loss to the Denver Broncos.

While this certainly isn’t good news, it also isn’t a surprise. The Chiefs were holding out hope that Cassel would be able to make it back at some point this season, but we always knew that it would be at the very end of the season if at all.

The Chiefs QB had surgery on his hand early last week.

There has been no official announcement by the Chiefs yet. They may just wait until after their game against the Patriots on Monday. Tuesday is the day teams usually make their roster transactions. If the team puts Cassel on IR, we may see one of the practice squad guys elevated to the active roster.

What do you think, Addicts? Have we seen Cassel play his last game with the Chiefs?
