The Morning Fix

The six interceptions ties for the second-most in team history. It marked the seventh time in Chiefs annals that KC recorded six interceptions off opposing quarterbacks. The last time the Chiefs had six interceptions was vs. Seattle (12/9/84). CB Brandon Flowers registered two interceptions of his own, returning one 58 yards for a touchdown. S Kendrick Lewis also returned one 59 yards for a touchdown.

“It was 56 all day,” Haley said, referring to Johnson’s uniform number. “That was probably one of the best games I’ve seen him play, and he’s a guy we talk about that as good as he’s played, he keeps getting better.

“A couple of plays down there, he was a difference maker.”

“It would be nice, so I could say I scored for the first time in my life,” Asomoah said about the possibilities of a scoring change. “It was exciting. Everybody was texting me from home … I threw the ball over my shoulder, and Casey (Wiegmann) was yelling at me for not keeping it.”

Cornerback Brandon Flowers joined PFT Live Monday and talked about the upcoming game. Florio asked him who the team to beat was in the AFC West.

“I’d have to go with us,” Flowers said with a laugh. “It’s only right if I go with us.”

After Sunday’s win, it’s not a crazy notion.
