Chiefs Beat Raiders, Set Up Epic Monday Night Football Clash On Halloween Night

The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Oakland Raiders today to move themselves to 3-3 on the season and in doing so, set up a potentially epic Monday Night Football showdown with the San Diego Chargers on Halloween Night.

The Chiefs needed a few things to go right Sunday for this to happen and all of them did. Here is the breakdown.

-Chiefs win, move to 3-3.

-Raiders loss moves them to 4-3. Oakland will be idle next week.

-San Diego loses to the Jets, falls to 4-2.

-Broncos narrowly beat the crappy Dolphins. Nobody cares because the Broncos suck.

Next week, the Chiefs will face the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday Night Football. A Kansas City win would drop the Chargers to 4-3 and move the Chiefs to 4-3. The Raiders would still be 4-3 but they won’t be playing. The Chiefs will have a tie-breaker over the Raiders based on today’s victory.

That means a KC victory on Halloween would tie the Chiefs with the Chargers for first place in the AFC West.

Bet you didn’t see that one coming after KC’s 0-3 start. I know I didn’t.

Next week will be crucial for the Chiefs. Should they lose to the Chargers, they will lose the tie-breaker at the end of the year if the teams finish with the same record.

Could be a spooky Halloween at Arrowhead Stadium!
