Will Carson Palmer Start vs. Chiefs?

Hue Jackson and Carson Palmer held a press conference for the media to talk about the Oakland/Cinci trade this evening.

Jackson was asked almost imediately if Palmer would start on Sunday. His response?

“You think I’m gonna tell you that? … We’ll see as we continue to move through the week.”

My take? He’s going to play. I have three reasons.

1. Palmer knows Hue Jackson’s offense from their days together at USC.

2. The Raiders have a strong running game they can lean on. Palmer won’t have to do much, and the Raiders can implement some basic routes and screens.

3. Kyle Boller is the alternative.

What do you think, Addicts? Will Palmer start or is Jackson just using Palmer as a smokescreen so Todd Haley and Romeo Crennel have to prepare for both Palmer and Boller?
