Dwayne Bowe On Todd Haley, Matt Cassel

Our friends over at kcchiefsblog.com caught an interview with Kansas City Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe and ESPN Radio’s Doug Gottlieb this morning.

Gottlieb asked Bowe about the sideline confrontation between Todd Haley and Matt Cassel during last week’s game against the Vikings. According to Bowe, Cassel and Haley tangling is nothing new.

“They yell at each other every day at practice, so that’s nothing new,” Bowe said. “You guys just caught it on tape. That’s all day.”

Gottlieb asked if Haley wants every player to have a back-and-forth with him.

“I don’t know if yelling back at him, but he definitely don’t want no punk. He wants a guy to take control and if that’s how he feels like that’s how he has to do it, that’s how he has to do it.”

I always kind of cringe when Bowe speaks because you never know when he is going to say something stupid. In this case, however, I think he is just relaying something we all already know. Players and coaches sometimes get into it a little bit, especially in the heat of battle. Nothing really to see here.
