The Miami Dolphins were awarded RB Steve Slaton on waivers today.
At 0-3, the Dolphins would be in the mix with the other winless teams like the Chiefs, Vikings, Colts and Rams for first dibs on any player landing on the waiver wire.
I am not sure what tie-breaking procedures the NFL uses in a case like this. It is possible that the Chiefs put a claim in on Slaton and that the Dolphins were just above them in the order. Or they may not have been interested.
As of now there has been no word on whether any other teams put a claim in on Slaton. We’ll be sure to let you know if we hear.
Looks like another week of the law firm of Old, Useless, McCluster and McClain.
