Chiefs Bring Back Reshard Langford, Shane Bannon

Like manna from heaven, Reshard Langford falls out of the sky to replace Eric Berry. God help us indeed.

I said yesterday that Scott Pioli needed to make a bold move to replace the gaping hole left by the loss of safety Eric Berry.

So he re-signed Reshard Langford.

The team announced today that they re-signed Langford, one of the players lost in the last round of roster cuts. They also brought back FB Shane Bannon and put him on the practice squad.

We can only hope that Langford is a short-term answer to a long-term problem. It makes sense in a way, to get Langford in because he knows the defensive system well enough to possibly contribute by Sunday.

Then again, it’d also be nice to see the Chiefs go after someone who can help them more over the course of the rest of the season. You know…someone other than a guy with five career tackles that they cut in order to keep Sabby Piscitelli, Jon McGraw and freaking Donald Washington.
