The Morning Fix: Game Day Edition!

It’s finally here Addicts! Game day! Chiefs football!

I am so excited I feel like a I did the first time my fraternity brothers took me to a strip club!

We’ll be previewing all the action for you this morning, bring you the latest game news right up until kickoff. We’ll also have a live game thread so you can watch the game right here along with the crew at Arrowhead Addict.

Until then, here is your Morning Fix!

Other times the details tell you Barry Richardson is still playing tackle, Matt Cassel struggles under pressure, and already Jonathan Baldwin and Tony Moeaki are injured, so how could you expect more than six wins?

Good detail: the Chiefs are built in a way that should make them consistently good in the fourth quarter.

Haley still parlayed his gambles into a 10-6 record following a 4-12 season, a memorable year for the Chiefs but one defined in some ways by his propensity to ignore the usual NFL coach’s approach. As Haley prepares for today’s opener against the Buffalo Bills, he has perhaps taken on his biggest series of chances at a time when the wrong decision could put his future in jeopardy.

I am concerned. I could care less about the score of the preseason games but what has me worried are all the mental mistakes. Penalties, fumbles and an overall lack of polished football is enough to worry anyone.

Will the Chiefs be able to snap out of it and get back to business Sunday? Sure, I think so. What we saw was a small sample size. I’ll reserve hitting the panic button until after Sunday’s game.
