Report: Chiefs Ink TE Anthony Becht To One-Year Deal

According to the Pro Football Talk twitter, the Kansas City Chiefs have signed TE Anthony Becht to a one-year contract.

Becht, a former first-round pick of the NY Jets in 2000, last played for the Cardinals in the 2010 preseason. He was released before the season started.

The Chiefs love to sign TE’s but it is unlikely this guy makes the roster. They already have Tony Moeaki, Leonard pope and Jacke O’Connel who they are comfortable with. They also have Charlie Gantt and Cody Slate in camp.

Looks like just a training camp body to help the team get through the last two weeks of preseason games. Becht’s career has been on a slide for a while now and it is unlikely he will revive it now.
