ESPN.com has released it’s very popular power rankings for the first time this preseason.

To kick things off, the defending Super Bowl champs, the Green Bay Packers, are listed as #1. They are followed by the New England Patriots at #2 and the Philadelphia Eagles at #3.

The Chiefs come in at #14, which is down from their previous ranking at#11. Despite being the defending AFC West champs, the Chiefs are not the highest ranked team in the division. That honor goes to the Chargers, who check in at #10.

The Oakland Raiders, who may predict will take another step forward this season, are next at #23. The Broncos bring up the rear at #27.They moved up two slots from #29, which is probably just due to the departure of Josh McDaniels.
