Breaston: Coach Haley’s Not Always A Butthole

New Kansas City Chiefs WR Steve Breaston stopped by 810 Sports Radio to give an interview on The Border Patrol this morning and he has an important message for KC fans.

“Coach Haley’s not always a butthole,” joked Breaston.

So all you Haley haters take note: Coach Haley is not always a butthole.

Just sometimes. 😉

The quote came when the hosts were asking Breaston about Haley’s..err..less than pleasant manner when dealing with players. Breaston actually praised Haley a lot and credited the coach for helping him develop as a receiver.

“Coach Haley never lets you take a day off,” Breaston said.

A bit more on Breaston after the jump.

Breaston talked about a lot of things in his interview but one bit I thought would stand out to Chiefs fans was when he was asked if he had any lingering issues with the injury he suffered last season to his knee.

“No sir,” said Breaston.

This should get everyone with injury concerns to breathe a sigh of relief. The Chiefs likely had their medical staff take a good look at Breaston to make sure he was good to go. I doubt they would have given him a five-year deal if he wasn’t.

At the end of the interview, the hosts asked Breaston if he knew anything about Kansas City. If you follow AA on Twitter, you may have noticed I called for Chiefs fans to start tweeting Breaston BBQ suggestions last night. Looks like he got the message.

“I don’t know too much about Kansas City but I know you care about barbecue. I don’t want to be 250-plus at the slot receiver. People are saying come to this barbecue spot so I guess you guys got good barbecue.”

I suggest burnt ends at Gates and a Z-Man at Oklahoma Joes.
