KC Chiefs Re-Sign Casey Wiegmann

Aaron Wilson of Fox Sports is reporting that the Kansas City Chiefs will bring back C Casey Wiegmann for one more year.

He also reports two other teams made inquires.

Wilson is a pretty reliable source.

I like this move by the Chiefs. Wiegmann may be declining but he is still decent enough to play and can serve as a valuable mentor to Rodney Hudson. As I recall, Hudson played G in college. With a shortened offseason, I don’t want a rookie linking up Week One to snap the ball. I like the idea of having Wiegmann out there.
