NFL Owners, Players Commit To Four Straight Day Of Talks *UPDATE

ESPN.com’s Chris Mortenson is reporting via Twitter that the NFL owners and players have committed to four straight days of talks in Minnesota.

This is good news because everyone knows that the owners and players have been having trouble entering into a committed relationship since their much publicized breakup back in March. Personally, I’m hoping that if they can’t work things out and the season is canceled, that they will instead decide to do a “Bachelor” style reality TV show where the players can compete for the owners’ affection. They could have Roger Goodell hand out roses or something to a certain amount of players every week. Each rose signifies that that individual player is no longer locked out and can go back to work. The players could compete in teams to try to get 53 roses from Goodell before the start of the 2012 season. With any luck, the Chiefs will be back in business come next August and the Raiders, Chargers and Broncos will still only be fielding incomplete teams.

Anyway, so they owners and players are meeting…which really isn’t much of a change except they are meeting for a little longer this time. I am sure if they don’t work things out, they will all take a break for the 4th of July so they can all scatter and have really expensive BBQ’s.

The general feeling seems to be that a deal has to be in plays by around the second week of July to avoid the cancelation of any games.

The clock is ticking boys.
