Plaxico Burres Released From Prison

Former New York Giants WR Plaxico Burres was released from prison today.

Burres was greeted by, who else, his agent Drew Rosenhaus.

I suppose Rosenhaus figures he can get one more payday out of the embattled receiver. Personally, I think signing a 33 year-old WR who just spend a couple of years in the clink is absolutely bananas. I mean, I’d be weary of signing any 33 year-old WR so the fact that Plax hasn’t played in so long makes him an even bigger risk.

Still, with Oakland Raiders owner Al Davis still roaming the earth collecting souls for the Prince of Darkness, there is always a chance Plax will be the latest victim to fall into the black hole.

If not Davis, someone will likely take a chance on the former first round pick. The question is, do you think it should be the Kansas City Chiefs?

Well it was a NYC gun law NOT NY State and that's why it was so severe because they were enacted to cut down on illegal guns which are used for crimes. He was also the poster boy for these laws by Mayor Bloomberg for his roll model position he had so they made an example out of him and no it wasn't fair and other crimes deserve more punishment than this one did.

Ya guys like Big Ben can batter women and Brandon Marshall can start a fight that gets a teammate killed (not to mention his domestic violence incident) but Plax goes to prison for hurting himself. Messed up world we live in.

What stupid gun laws they have in NY! 2 years for shooting yourself in the arse. Meanwhile, the rapist, robber and all around thug down the street gets probation. Welcome to the Bizarro World Police State.

He isn't the smartest person and he had no opportunity to do his cardio there where he stayed in protective custody. I'm just glad he's gone from our facility.

Is it better or worse for a 33 year old to have missed 2 years of NFL pounding? That's what really ages you in my opinion. But that's not to say he didn't experience any pounding in prison ;)
