Madden 12 Cover Revealed

by Chiefs

The Madden NFL 12 cover featuring Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis has been revealed. This is obviously big news because electronic football may be the only football (other than college) that we get this fall.

I think this is a pretty cool looking cover.

What do you guys think? I know we have a lot of readers who enjoy Madden. Will you be buying Madden 12? More importantly, what is your system/gamer tag?

I actually buy Madden every 3 years! I've been playing 09 for too long and so anxious to get 12 as u can imagine. What i did to help was trading thigpen for cassel, kolby smith for t jones, demorrio williams for vrabel, mark bradley for chambers, start charles, so at least the chiefs are like Madden 11. (Ive played 10 and 11 and i think 12 will be ALOT better)

The problem is that they release it every year. Obviously they just want the money but to expect them to make giant, major changes every year is probably unrealistic. Everyone would be better off if they just released the game every couple of years, made it quality and continued to update rosters. They'll never do though. Not as long as they are making so much money every year.

Scratch that, I bought Madden 11 with the SI subscription and the code didn't work.

Well last year I bought Madden 11 brand new from Wal-Mart and the activation code didn't work. So I had to get every player's skills from online. And online isn't fun at all unless you plan to shell out some cheddar. I'd rather buy games with 200+ hours of gameplay like The Elder Scrolls, Mass Effect, etc. instead of annual games. I'll buy Madden every 3 years, m'kay?

I'm done with Madden. I'll just create the new players and update them myself to save $60. They're making like $53 net profit for selling what is essentially the same game. As for the cover, we all know it should be Aaron Rodgers. Am I right? I hope I am, cause if you say I'm wrong, I'll lock myself in the shed and eat only Lucky Charms.

I think Rodgers deserved it but it is kind of cool Hillis got on. I always kind of liked the idea of the guy on the cover being the next big star or an emerging star as opposed to an established guy. Though I guess Rodgers wasn't THAT established before this year. I understand your worries about it always being the same game. I thought 11 and 10 were very similar thought I thought the game play improved a bit in 11. You may want to re-consider buying this year's version though. They have revamped franchise mode FINALLY and added a lot of really good stuff. Better scouting, more logic and stuff like that. Players will also have hot and cold streaks as well, which I think is cool. The big reason though, is that you can now change pretty much everything in franchise mode. I think if you want to change a guy's rating, you can do whatever you want to it. More control could mean you can pretty much change the game every year to make the teams how you want them. If you are planning to keep the same game and just do roster changes, 12 might be the game to do it with. Especially if the game play ends up being better.
