Goodell Expects 25 Rookies To Attend The Draft

In an interview with USA Today, NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell said that he expects there to be 25 rookies present Thursday at the NFL Draft at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

“The draft is one of my favorite events because it is about football. People are focused on how their teams improve. It’s a celebration of football. And most importantly, it represents a very important time in the lives of these men who are entering the NFL, and their families. To be a part of them starting their careers, it’s an honor and a privilege. I enjoy having the time with the players that we bring in. We’re bringing in the most players ever this year. I think we’ll have 25 players. That’s the exciting thing for me.”

With the Chiefs picking in the top ten over the last few years we’ve usually had the pleasure of seeing the team’s pick on hand at Radio City. Picking at #21 this year has left some doubt as to whether KC’s pick will actually be in the house. If Goodell is right and 25 players show up there is a decent chance one of those players goes to the Chiefs.

What do you think Addicts? Will the Chiefs’ pick be there Thursday?
