Laura Podolak says Thursday that her father, who’s in a Scottsdale hospital, is aware that it’s going to be a “challenging and lengthy rehabilitation.” She says he’s being medicated because of the number of surgeries he has undergone so far.
Detroit Lions coach Jim Schwartz indicated that Detroit will appeal their tampering charge. Defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham was found guilty of tampering with a Kansas City Chiefs player, believed to be former safety Jarrad Page. The Chiefs will now draft No. 9 and the Lions will draft No. 23 in the fifth round. Detroit was also docked a seventh-round pick.
“It can send up a red flag that you’ve got to look into,” John Fox, head coach of the Denver Broncos, says in a video posted on the Wonderlic website. “But by no means is it an end-all to whether a guy can play football or not.”
According to the video, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Kevin Curtis is believed to hold the highest Wonderlic score of any current player. Will his 48 points on paper translate into points on the scoreboard this season?
